Terms and Conditions
Program Enrollment: Program Leaders are automatically enrolled in WorldStrides Rewards. However, participation in the WorldStrides Rewards program is optional and subject to the Terms and Conditions outlined herein. All participating Program Leaders will be required to review and acknowledge these Terms and Conditions before participation can be confirmed. Redemption items and their corresponding point values are re-evaluated on a seasonal basis and are subject to change. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change with or without notice. WorldStrides reserves the right to terminate WorldStrides Rewards accounts without notice.
WorldStrides and participating Program Leaders explicitly acknowledge and agree that WorldStrides Rewards is a customer loyalty program and participation in the program does not obligate the Program Leader to perform any service of any kind to WorldStrides.
Legal Responsibilities: WorldStrides is not responsible for any injury, loss, property damage, or loss of income related to participation in WorldStrides Rewards. All Program Leaders are solely responsible for ensuring that they are in compliance with all state, local, district, and/or school rules related to their participation in WorldStrides Rewards.
If the value of redeemed rewards exceeds $600 in a calendar year, an IRS Form 1099 may be issued, and the reward may be subject to taxation. All Program Leaders are solely responsible for individual tax obligations.
Rewards Points
Trip Size and Distance: Each student that travels on your program earns you Reward Points. The number of Reward Points per student is determined by the length of your program, the relative distance of travel, and whether you are traveling by air or by bus. In addition, rewards may be dependent upon when students register for the program, with maximum Reward Points being awarded for early commitment. Large group bonus points may be available. Specific rewards thresholds can be found on the website. Minimum participation requirements may apply.
Points Matching: Points earned through another student travel company program may be converted to the WorldStrides program. Points switched to the WorldStrides program are honored 1:1, if the programs offer similar value.
Referral Rewards: Rewards Points can be earned through customer referrals. Program Leaders earn 25 Rewards Points for each valid referral provided throughout the year, 250 Rewards Points for each referral who starts promotion of a travel program in their school, and an additional 500 Rewards Points for each referral that travels with WorldStrides, with a minimum of 5 participants.
Redeeming Rewards Points: Reward Points are redeemable starting after the program departure date, and can be redeemed for three years after the program travel date. Points expire after three years only if the Program Leader has not enrolled travelers on a future WorldStrides program during that time.
Pending points (earned based on enrollments and associated with a future WorldStrides program) may be used only to register for a Teacher Convention. Teacher Conventions, based on their high value, are the only redemption option with additional qualifications. Applying for a Teacher Convention requires enrollments on a future program with the exact dates available on the Teacher Convention page.
Reward points balance may be obtained by emailing wsrewards@worldstrides.com.
Other Program Benefits
Program Leaders earn free travel on their selected program with a minimum number of full paying participants. In addition, Program Leaders can earn additional free spots for friends, family members or co-workers as your group grows. Other friends, family members, and co-workers may join your trip and receive a special, reduced price. Any educator traveling on a WorldStrides trip can receive up to 35 professional development points / hours for traveling. These other program benefits have no cash value and cannot be redeemed within the WorldStrides Loyalty Program described above.
