WorldStrides Travel Scholarships

One of the greatest benefits of the WorldStrides Rewards Program is that you can use it to make travel available to even more students. You can redeem your Rewards Points for WorldStrides Travel Scholarships to bring the overall price of your trip down for all students, or give directly to individual students who you know are in need of a little extra help.

Interested in test-driving a new destination? Use your rewards points for a Travel Scholarship to join another group's WorldStrides program.

100 Rewards Point = $125 in WorldStrides Travel Scholarships

Travel scholarships must be requested prior to the final payment deadline for your trip.

Personal Travel Rewards

Where to? Trade in your Rewards Points for personal travel and take that trip you've always dreamed of. Points can be used for flights as well as hotel stays.

500 Rewards Points = 2-night hotel stay or roundtrip airfare within the continental US

*500 points is the "starting from" rate. Typical bookings can be made within this amount. If booking last-minute, outside of major gateways, or during peak travel seasons, more points may be required. You may also request flights or hotel bookings outside for the continental US with the number of points required to be determined based on your request.

Gift Card Rewards

School supplies. Holiday gifts. That new TV you’ve been eyeing. Rewards Points can also be traded in for gift cards to several major retailers.

125 points = $100 gift card

Choose from the following cards: Starbucks, Target, Amazon, or Hotels.com.

Gift cards will be issued via email within 2-3 weeks of redemption request. Starbucks Gift Cards are limited to $100 per redemption.

Cash Back Rewards

Need a little extra spending money? Now your Rewards Points can be traded in for cash back incentives.

325 points = $250

There is a $1,000 cash maximum per calendar year.

Cash rewards available for redemption starting at 20 days prior to trip departure date.

Rewards Points

Important details to know

Rewards Points are earned per full-paying traveler based on the type of transportation of your trip, the number of hotel nights of your program, and the date of when that full-paying traveler signs up relative to your travel date. Please contact your Account Manager should you have specific questions about what is defined as ‘early registration’ for your specific trip.
All Rewards Points earned, including points transferred from a competitor, are redeemable starting at 20 days from scheduled travel date, and can be redeemed after travel.
To redeem your Rewards Points, you must have completed a WorldStrides travel program within the last 18 months or you must have a future trip with WorldStrides scheduled with at least 5 or more full-paying traveler sign-ups in order to redeem your Rewards Points.
Once redeemed, Rewards Points may not be used for other promotional rewards.
On a monthly basis, you’ll be notified of your Rewards balance via email. Your Rewards balance is also available by emailing wsrewards@worldstrides.com. When eligible for Points Redemption, you may submit a redemption request to wsrewards@worldstrides.com. Please provide your name, your school name, and the email address associated with your trip.
